CONEGLIANO - VALDOBBIADENE
In the north part of the province of Treviso, you will find hills where wine has been cultivated for centuries.
The magical atmospheres of these lands invite you to explore art cities, agricultural villages, and culinary delights.
You will always be accompanied by the aroma of a special wine. These hills are the home of Prosecco, the most famous Bollicine (Sparkling Wines) in the world, which have been part of the UNESCO World Heritage since 2019.
Art locations alternate with those of wine culture and the good life. Here starts Italy’s first wine route, the “Prosecco and Wines of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Hills Road” (1966), to which has been added the more recent “Piave Wine Road,” which will take you to discover castles, historic villas, hermitages, and abbeys.
And don’t forget to stop by many wineries to taste top-quality food and wine products! The most representative cities of this area are Conegliano (birthplace of Giambattista Cima), Valdobbiadene, Vittorio Veneto, and Follina (which has joined the Club of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy).
Conegliano is located in a privileged position at the foot of the Treviso Prealps. The historic center, mainly built along Via XX Settembre and Piazza Cima, hosts numerous Renaissance palaces with carved stone decorations and frescoes.
On the hill stands the Castle, symbol of Conegliano, offering a panoramic position to admire the wide piedmont scenario, from the UNESCO Dolomites to the Venice lagoon.
CAORLE
18 kilometers of golden sandy beach, clean sea perfect for children, clear, fish-filled, and full of submerged treasures.
The historic center with its alleys and squares is a true open-air salon, starting from the beautiful Piazza Vescovado whose trachyte paving recalls the Venetian tradition and has been included among the Historic Maritime Villages – Jewels of Italy.
With outdoor walks and visits to museums and monuments that adorn the village, it will feel like taking a trip back in time.
